The 8th graders are currently in the midst of their Constitutional convention. Their country name is The United Never Minds and they have worked very diligently in beginning to piece together their nation. They are located a little south of Hawaii, so if you’re in the neighborhood, stop by and say ”Hi”! It’s a fun and educational time!
Student Council raised over $430 to help the American Cancer Society for October’s annual breast cancer awareness month. This terrible disease has touched families and friends of people, and the strong leadership of our Student Council officers has been most impressive! Our Redeemer family has truly been blessed by God!
The class trip to Gettysburg and Washington D.C. is happening May 23-25. Our bus is full, and we have a waiting list of 6 parents. We cannot wait to see the sites including the newly dedicated Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial. We also have made a request to visit the White House as well as the Capitol. A rumor is going around that Mr. Grulke has volunteered to climb all the steps of the Washington Monument to check for damage from the earthquake last August.
